YOUR FACILITATOR:

Sarah Lang is a leading human skills instructor and coach at some of Canada’s top universities, including the University of Toronto, McMaster University, and Toronto Metropolitan University. 

Sarah is also a regular facilitator and consultant for the Google Mastery Faculty, select government institutions, and public and private organizations offering human skills training. 

Through her Human Skills Leadership Lab, professionals and teams gain more self-awareness and stress management strategies, sharpen their communication and presentation skills, build their leadership presence, and learn how to inspire, engage and motivate others. 

WHAT IS THE HUMAN SKILLS LEADERSHIP LAB?

The Human Skills Leadership Lab is a customizable 6-module training program designed to support your team’s ability to connect, communicate and lead more effectively by strengthening their human skills. 

This training combines instruction, group discussion and hands-on learning using real-life scenarios. Participants learn quickly and gain the confidence to start practicing immediately – creating a more positive and productive workplace.

    Mental Fitness is a transformative, practical, hands-on workshop that gives participants the exercises and tools to shift negative thinking patterns into positive “Sage”-like thinking.

    Based on the New York Times bestselling book Positive Intelligence by Shirzad Chamine, this workshop builds the pillars of mental fitness to create sustained improvements in performance, engagement, well-being, creativity and leadership across your organization.

    Participants will:

    • Use mental and emotional energy more effectively by learning a repeatable framework to bypass and process negative thinking patterns and activate positive, empowering thoughts.

    • Boost teamwork and collaboration as participants become more resilient, productive and in control of their actions and emotions.

    Build on the skills acquired in module 3 with increased practice, more advanced techniques, and the addition of live feedback. Participants will take their public speaking to the next level by learning how to convey credibility and authenticity, facilitate a productive meeting, lead a discussion, and create persuasive presentations.

    Participants will:

    • Practice persuasive strategies to convince decision-makers and speak with authority to monitor, mentor and motivate.

    • Increase their impact when delivering communication, challenges and opportunities.

    • Practice presenting data effectively via the use of visual aids, props and PowerPoint

    Participants will hone their own unique and memorable presentation style and learn how to better engage their audience through storytelling, humour, and creating interactive moments. Participants will walk away with a more advanced understanding of presentation delivery, enabling them to speak up at the boardroom table and effectively engage with senior-level stakeholders and decision-makers.

  • Inspire confidence through authentic, impactful presence.

    “Presence” is the essence of being that sets you apart as a modern leader. It influences how you are perceived, trusted and followed. Presence also plays an important role in creating a positive, high-performing, and successful work environment.

    In this workshop, participants will:

    • Build confidence to keep the attention and trust of their teams. Acquire techniques to maintain composure and presence in high-pressure situations.

    • Understand the components of executive presence and how to embody them. Project leadership confidence and influence with a powerful and authentic presence.

    • Learn the art of strategic storytelling as a leadership tool. Craft narratives that captivate, inspire, and effectively convey vision and values.

    This training catalyzes personal growth, confidence, and heightened self-awareness – each playing a leading role in participants’ success and overall well-being.

    Participants will understand the positive impact of enhanced leadership presence and how it ripples through the organization. They will learn to foster a culture of engagement, trust, and productivity to create long-term organizational success.

    • Practice coaching skills using the GROW model, a powerful coaching model that empowers team members, drives professional growth, and creates a culture of continuous improvement.

    Participants will walk away from this learning module with actionable strategies to strengthen team dynamics, and become a leader who not only manages but inspires.

  • All learning modules are interactive and include live coaching and facilitation from Sarah Lang. 

  • Each module has a customized Workbook to deepen learning and capture reflections and insights. 

  • 1:1 coaching or advanced training sessions can be added to any learning module.
